About Amanda
Prior to joining Gilroy Napoli Short, Amanda worked for the Washington County District Attorney’s Office as a Deputy District Attorney for several years, gaining considerable trial experience prosecuting person and property crimes. Amanda then moved to the U.S. Virgin Islands, where she was admitted to the Virgin Islands Bar Association and worked as General Counsel for an investment company with interests in the territory and Ireland. Most recently, Amanda focused on investor relations for a commercial-stage, global biotechnology company based in Switzerland. Her broad experience in various types of law, and her passion for criminal law specifically, is an asset for her clients as she guides them through the criminal justice system and advocates for the best possible outcome.
Background
Amanda graduated with her Juris Doctorate from Lewis & Clark Law School and Magna cum Laude from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology. She volunteered for the Victim’s Assistance Program at the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office and in the Family Law Assistance Program in Washington County.
When not in the office, you will usually find Amanda traveling with her daughter and husband. She enjoys hiking, camping and exploring new places in the Caribbean and Central America.
